The new exhibition DLG-ÖÇP Tarla Günleri stands for a novel and unique concept in Turkey. Together the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and ÖCP (Önder Ciftci Project) aim to lead this exhibition to success. And the signs are pointing towards good results.

The DLG as a financially and politically independent organisation it is one of the biggest fair organisers in the agricultural sector in Germany. It was established in 1885 and has more than 20,000 members. The fairs organised by DLG in Germany are AGRITECHNICA with 340,000 visitors, EuroTier with 130,000 visitors, DLG Field Days with 20,000 visitors, PotatoEurope and ANUGA FOODTEC. DLG also organises several fairs abroad: AgroFarm and AgroTech in Russia, OPOLAGRA and Agro-Tech Minikowo in Poland. As DLG has been organising similar fairs in Germany and other countries for many years it has acquired a wealth of experiences and know-how that can be contributed to this new exhibition.

ÖÇP Önder Çiftçi Project was started in 1987 as a joint project of the German and the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and has been working as a consulting association since 1992. There are branches in Tekirdağ, Hayrabolu, Malkara, Muratlı and Silivri, with more than 550 farming members. The project continues to grow with companies from the sectors seed, insurance and marketing of agricultural products. Due to its good connections in the sector, key opinion leaders are expected to visit DLG-ÖÇP Tarla Günleri 2010.

To join forces and support the Turkish agriculture together, the two organisations have formed a joined venture: DLG Fuarcılık Ltd.Şti. This new company will be responsible for organising the exhibition.
